Review of Body of Evidence

Title:Body of Evidence
Author:Patricia Cornwell
Piblisher:Avon Books
ISBN:0380717018

This is the fourth Kay Scarpetta novel by Patricia Cornwell. Kay is a strong and unforgettable character. You can both love and hate her at the same time. She has considerable compassion for the dead and is always determined to find their killers and bring them to justice. On a personal level, she has much less control. On the one hand, she is loving and caring; on another, she can be over-bearing.

In this episode, Kay is forced to deal with a deranged killer who stalks and murders a noted novelist and then appears to be working back through people from her past. Will Kay be his next victim? In addition to finding the murderer, Kay has to come to terms with someone from her own past. Can she trust him again or is there too much baggage?

Cornwell takes the reader on a ride from the beginning to the end. I couldn't put the book down because I wanted to know what would happen next. The storyline moves smoothly and quickly to the suspenseful conclusion.

If you are fond of murder mysteries or even if you are not, I highly recommend this book. Cornwell has never let me down yet.She takes you on an unforgettable journey through the mind of a killer and makes you believe that justice will prevail. I give this book a four  out of five stars.
