Sadie James thinks her life just can't get any better. She has great friends, a wonderful mom she loves and the ocean is almost in her back yard. Her life turns upside down when she nearly drowns and is rescued by a young man with the most gorgeous green eyes. She is convinced she has seen him before; but he won't tell her his name.
Everytime Sadie sees this young man, the attraction for him deepens along with needs she can't explain. The young man has been sent to protect Sadie; but why in heavens name does she need protecting? As time goes on, Sadie realizes her life is not as it appears on the surface. She finds herself pulled into a life of top secret agents that she never knew existed and an identity that is the biggest secret of all.
This is the first book in the young adult paranormal series, The Water Keepers. This is an absolutely fantastic read and one I could not put down. I was hooked from page one and read the book in one sitting. The storyline is fantastic and flows smoothly from the beginning. It ends in such a way that you know you have to read the next one because you want to know what is going to happen. The characters are very well developed. You fall in love with the handsome stranger from the start. Sadie, is another story. Even though you know her problem is related to her condition, I loved and hated her at the same time. The ending totally took me by surprise and I absolutely know I must read the next book in the series.
All of you young adult and paranormal fans really must check out this book. I don't think you will be disappointed. Even if you just like a good story, I highly recommend this book.
I wish to thank the author for providing me with a copy to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. I was not compensated in anyway except for receiving the book for review purposes.
I give Deep Blue Secret 5 out of 5 stars
