Review of The Forbidden Lord

The Forbidden Lord (Lord Trilogy, #2)

The Forbidden Lord

Avon Books
ISBN 0308797488

Jordon Willis, the Earl of Blakemore has played with the hearts of many of the high society belles. His undoing is a stolen kiss from the preacher;s daughter. Emily Fairchild has no experience with men and her response awakens a new found desire in the Earl. Because of this, the Earl is unable to forget her. The Earl meets the very flirtatious Lady Emma Campbell and it shakes him to the core because she resembles Emily Fairchild and could pass for her twin.

Emily can't reveal her charade to anyone including the Earl. He is awakining a passion in her that she is having difficulty concealing. Her life depends on convincing everyone that she is Lady Campbell. Most of all she must not fall in love with him.

Emily/Lady Emma and the Earl of Blackmore are the central characters in this historical romance.Emily is strong willed and quite adept at handling the Earl of Blackmore.Unfortunately, as time passes, Emily finds it harder to keep her secret from him because of the feelings he is stirring inside of her.

The Forbidden Lord is a very enjoyable read. For those who are into historical romance or romance in general, I highly recommend this book. I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars.
